No umbrella needed — direct covered access from the station
Both Shijo Station (Karasuma Subway Line, North Gate) and Karasuma Station (Hankyu Kyoto Line, Exit 26) are connected to Kyoto Economic Center via covered underground passages. You can walk from the platform to the venue without going outside, regardless of the weather.
KIX limousine bus: Shijo-Karasuma stop is currently suspended
As of July 2026, the Shijo-Karasuma limousine bus stop for Kansai Airport services remains suspended. If you are traveling from Kansai Airport by limousine bus, disembark at Kyoto Station Hachijo Exit and transfer to the Karasuma Subway Line to Shijo Station. Avoid taxis and buses during Gion Matsuri (July)
During the Gion Matsuri festival, pedestrian zones and traffic restrictions are in effect around Shijo-dori and Karasuma-dori, particularly on the evenings of July 15 and 16 from around 17:00. Significant delays to taxis and buses should be expected. The subway is strongly recommended during this period.
SUINA Muromachi is inside the building
The lower floors of Kyoto Economic Center house SUINA Muromachi — a food hall on B1F and retail and dining establishments on 1F. You can grab a meal, coffee, or souvenirs without leaving the building, making it a convenient option before or after your event.
Parking is very limited — public transport is recommended
The on-site car park (Kurutto Park Kyoto Economic Center) holds only 40 vehicles and fills up quickly during large events. Check nearby coin parking lots in advance, or plan to use public transport.
