Expect Crowds Near Keage Incline in Spring

The Keage Incline — a disused railway stretch turned walking path — draws heavy crowds during the cherry blossom season (late March to early April). If you are arranging shuttle bus transfers for a spring event, build in extra time for traffic delays.

Avoid City Buses During Tourist Season

The Okazaki and Nanzenji area is heavily impacted by Kyoto’s spring and autumn tourist seasons, when city buses become extremely crowded. It is strongly recommended to direct event attendees to Keage Station on the Tozai Line rather than city buses.

No Shelter on the Walk from Keage Station

The 6-minute walk from Keage Station to kokoka is entirely uncovered. For events held on rainy days, consider notifying attendees to bring an umbrella or arranging shuttle service from the station.

Only One Exit at Keage Station

Keage Station has a single exit (Exit 1, south side). Turn right out of the exit and head toward Okazaki to reach the venue. The taxi stand in front of the exit is small, so large groups exiting at the same time should expect congestion.
